Relationship day counter: how long have you been together

Enter the day you got together and see how long you have been a couple in days, weeks, months and years, with the next milestones to celebrate.

The maths happens on your device. The date is not sent anywhere or saved.

How the count works

The way a couple counts, not the way a spreadsheet does.

A month together runs from the day you got together to the same day of the next month, however long the month is. 14 February to 14 March is one month, even though February has 28 days.

If you got together on the 31st, the month ticks over on the last day of shorter months: 30 April, 30 June, 28 or 29 February. If you got together on 29 February, your anniversary falls on the 28th in years that are not leap years.

The total counts every calendar day, leap years included. And today is the day on your device clock, so the count changes at midnight where you are.

Frequently asked questions

About the count and about your date.

Pick the day you got together in the field above. The calculator shows the time in days, in weeks, in months and in years, months and days, plus the next milestones with their dates.

On the same day of the month you got together. When that day does not exist in a month (the 31st in April, for example), it falls on the last day of that month.

365 days, or 366 when the period includes a 29 February. That is why the calculator counts calendar days instead of multiplying years by 365.

Yes. In an Eternal Gift book, your date becomes a live counter that grows every day, alongside photos, notes, music and a sealed letter. You build it for free and only pay to publish.
